West Virginias Representative to the IBC semi finalist A deep calling lead them both to the Blues, and the Blues brought them together in 2010. For over a decade Jen “Lil’ Red” Milligan and Pascal Fouquet have been fine tuning their style and living and breathing their music. Decades of knowledge and experience ring through Pascal’s tasteful touch and the sparkle in Red’s sassy smile. Retro modern blues, is how they describe this style, it’s constantly evolving as the artists themselves, but the roots remain in the Blues. Their songs are as diverse as the many different styles of Blues because the couple finds all of them intriguing. Onstage they’re intimately real and at times hilarious. They exude a contagious charm that guarantees you’ll feel good no matter how haunting the song or biting the message. It all comes from a place of love and respect for the Blues and humanity. They both know the power of its healing and want to share it.
Shaun Booker is an international Blues Artist. Shaun has had many successful European and South American tours. She is known as The Empress of Beale St, and inducted into the Columbus Blues Hall of Fame. The Shaun Booker Dammit Band is the winner of the Columbus Blues Challenge:
Jim Kolby has played a number of different kinds of music over the years. His present group is a mix of old and new tunes on several different kinds of guitars.
Brian Peters is the song write for Duce & a Quarter and his band will feature those tunes.
Innervision is the internationally award-winning duo Genene Blackwell and Sam Shepherd based in Central Ohio. They have been playing music for audiences of all sizes and ages since 2009. Despite the challenges of visual impairment. Genene and Sam formed InnerVision while still in high school. Genene plays keyboards and also sings. Sam not only sings but also plays guitar, harmonica, trombone, and sometimes even congas! Sam Shepherd and Genene and Sam were born exactly one month apart as “micro-preemies” and lost their vision at birth due to their prematurity and alarmingly low birth weights. Before they were born, neither of their families knew each other, even though they all lived in the same Ohio town. Genene and Sam even spent the first weeks of their lives together in the same NICU unit of the same hospital in Columbus!

For those of you who joined the Shawnee Hills Area Chamber of Commerce and the Village of Shawnee Hills at Music in the Village 2022, we enjoyed hosting you.
We had an incredible season of nine top notch musical events and amazing good luck with the weather. I do want to thank Craig Tuthill, our chamber vice president, who booked all of the performers and emceed each evening. Craig went out of his way to provide our performers with soft drinks, water and snacks each evening as well as decorating the pavilion for our events.
When I first conceived Music in the Village several years ago my vision was to bring our village residents as well as people from surrounding communities together for an evening of great entertainment and at the same time for visitors to see what our restaurants and businesses had to offer. During the nine weeks of Music in the Village this summer, it was exciting so see audience members arrive with food and beverages from our local restaurants. Next year, we will hopefully have several more food and beverage venues for everyone to enjoy. And I hope you will join us and bring your friends for Music in the Village 2023.
Sincerely,
Carol Kender, Shawnee Hills Area Chamber of Commerce Director premium service.
