Delaware County Treasurer Michael Ringle will be the keynote speaker at the Shawnee Hills Chamber of Commerce’s Annual Breakfast Meeting December 14 at the Bogey Bar and Grill, 6013 Glick Road Shawnee Hills OH. "A buffet breakfast will be served at 10 am followed by a short business meeting and then the keynote address,” according to Carol Kender, Chamber President
Michael received his undergraduate and law degrees from The Ohio State University. He most recently served as deputy legal counsel in the Ohio Treasurer of State’s Office and, prior to that, worked as a state and local tax associate with the international accounting firm KPMG in Columbus.
Michael looks forward to building on the foundation that Treasurer Peterson laid with the capable and dedicated staff of the Treasurer’s Office to safeguard taxpayer dollars. He also looks forward to working with County Auditor George Kaitsa to continue the cutting-edge cybersecurity practices that safeguard the county treasury and he hopes to invest in technologies that will improve customer experience.
Michael also plans to explore implementing a ‘linked deposit’ program in the county, which would allow inactive county funds to be deposited with Delaware County banks and used to provide reduced-rate loans. Through this program, he hopes to better enable his office’s Escrow Payment Program to help the county’s more vulnerable residents keep their homes out of foreclosure. He and his wife Emily reside in Lewis Center.”
“I am so pleased that he can find time in his busy schedule to speak at our Shawnee Hills Chamber Annual meeting,” commented Ms Kender. “I look forward to hearing what he has to say about the treasurers department under new leadership."
